Hey guys. As I'm writing this, it is currently 97 degrees in Manhattan, but it says it feels like 102. 102. We've also just received warnings to limit usage of ac units among other things like microwaves, so love that for us. Summer is here, and the sun sure is making everyone know that by causing us to wallow in sweat the moment we step foot outdoors.
That's why I thank God for dresses. When it's THIS hot out, I sure as heck don't want to be wearing jeans, and sometimes even a t-shirt feels like voluntary imprisonment. That's why I believe it is important to have this summer wardrobe staple: the spaghetti strap dress.
The spaghetti strap dress can be worn on many different occasions, like for a nice date, especially if the fabric is a silk or velvet material. This can look very simple, but with a nice touch of gold jewelry as accents, can be elevated to a wonderful evening dress.
But I'm not talking about date night dresses right now. Sometimes a girl just doesn't want to wear pants and that's okay. That's why a flowy spaghetti strap dress is perfect. Your top gets to breathe and as long as you wear sunscreen, you shouldn't have to worry too much. Then the lower half of you just gets to flow along with the dress. Not sure what I'm talking about?
